SunBucks: Summer Grocery Benefits for Families
We’re excited to share that California has launched SunBucks, a new summer food assistance program designed to help families with eligible school-aged children buy groceries while school is out.
Through the California SunBucks Program (Summer EBT), families may receive $120 per eligible child to use toward purchasing food at grocery stores and other authorized retailers. This benefit supports students who qualify for free or reduced-price meals during the school year.
Who is Eligible?
Children may be eligible if they:

Receive free or reduced-price school meals, or
-
Are part of certain benefit programs such as CalFresh or Medi-Cal
