The California Young Reader Medal (CYRM) program encourages recreational reading of popular literature among the young people of our state. Since its inception in 1974, millions of California children have nominated, read, and voted for the winners of the California Young Reader Medal.CYRM is supported by the California Reading Association, the California Association of Teachers of English, California Library Association, and the California School Library Association.

The Banning Library is a Special District governed by a Board of Library Trustees which consist of five elected members who must be qualified voters and residents of the District. Trustees serve without pay for four-year staggered terms and may be re-elected. The Board has three officers: President, Vice President, and Secretary.Currently, the Banning Library District provides library services to a population of approximately 31,221 people according to the 2019 estimate from the US Census.

Riverside County Library System (RCLS) is a public library system with 34 locations, four Library Connect Vans, two museums, and a Creation Station in Riverside County, California. RCLS serves a diverse population of 1.4 million residents in a very large geography covering 7,303 square miles. RCLS locations are the educational and cultural centers of their communities. Services including a collection of over 1.3 million materials, electronic resources, and educational and literacy, job and career development, and life enrichment programs make Riverside County an even better place to live, work, raise families, and do business.
