Opportunities for Retired CalPERS Employees
Banning Unified School District welcomes retired CalPERS classified employees who are interested in continuing to support students and schools through substitute or part-time employment opportunities.
Retirees are responsible for ensuring that post-retirement employment complies with applicable CalPERS requirements. Requirements may include:
- A required waiting period before returning to employment with a CalPERS-covered employer, when applicable.
- A limit of 960 hours of eligible post-retirement employment during a fiscal year.
