Attendance Incentive Program

Students will be recognized based on their attendance percentage at the end of each academic trimester/semester/year according to the following tiers:

1. Gold Medal – Perfect Attendance
   1. Awarded to students who have 100% attendance with no absences, tardies, or early check-outs.
2. Silver Medal – Excellent Attendance
   1. Awarded to students who maintain a 98.0% - 99.9% attendance rate for the academic year.
3. Certificate of Achievement – Strong Attendance
   1. Awarded to students who maintain a 95.0% - 97.9% attendance rate for the academic year.

1. Attendance percentages will be based on daily attendance records maintained by the district.
2. Excused and unexcused absences count toward a student’s attendance percentage, except for school-sponsored activities (e.g., field trips, athletics, or academic competitions).
3. For the purpose of the Attendance Incentive Program: Absences can be made up by attending Saturday Academy, completing Short Term Independent Studies, and/or attending the After School Attendance Recovery Program.  Absences recovered through the attendance recovery programs will be applied to the current term (Trimester/Semester).
4. For the purpose of the Attendance Incentive Program: Tardies or early releases can be made up by attending Saturday Academy.  Tardies/early releases recovered through Saturday Academy will be applied to the current term (Trimester/Semester).

●      Awards will be presented at the end-of-trimester/semester/year school assemblies or designated recognition events.

●      Students will be acknowledged in school newsletters, district websites, and social media platforms.

●      Additional incentives, such as special field trips or celebrations, may be offered at the discretion of the school site

●      School administrators and attendance clerks will track student attendance and notify families of their child's attendance status periodically.

●      Parents/guardians will receive updates on their child’s attendance progress through report cards, parent conferences, or automated notifications.

●      This policy is designed to encourage consistent attendance while recognizing students for their dedication to being present and engaged in their education
