Preschool & Transitional Kindergarten Programs

Preschool and Transitional Kindergarten at Florida Street Discovery Center (FSDC)

Preschool (PS):

• Must be 3 years old by September 1st

• Learning Through Play: Our preschool program fosters creativity, problem-solving, and imagination through engaging, play-based activities that support early learning and development.

Transitional Kindergarten (TK):

• Must be 4 years old by September 1st

• Building a Strong Foundation: TK focuses on developing essential social, emotional, and academic skills to ensure a smooth transition into kindergarten.

Dual Language Immersion Program

Kindergarten – 5th Grade at Central Elementary School

Program Features:

✔ A bilingual education model where students learn in both English and Spanish.
✔ Designed to build proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing in both languages.
✔ Fosters cultural awareness, cognitive development, and academic excellence.

Traditional K-5th Grade Program

Available at All Banning USD Elementary Schools

Program Features:

✔ A standards-based curriculum that builds a strong foundation in language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies.
✔ Enrichment opportunities in physical education, art, music, and technology.
✔ Before and after-school programs available to support student learning and development.

Current FSDC Preschool or TK Students

If your child is currently enrolled at FSDC, use this link to select their school and/or program for the next school year.

New Student Enrollment

New to Banning Unified or returning after time away? Use this link to complete the enrollment process for the upcoming school year. Follow the prompts to submit required documents and finalize registration.

Intra-District Transfer Request

If you have a current Banning Unified elementary student and would like your child to attend a different school within the district, click on the link to submit an intra-district transfer request. Approval is based on space availability and district guidelines.
