November/December Superintendent's Update

November and December were busy months for Banning Unified as we held our first Local Control and Accountability Plan community meeting, participated in various holiday showcases and celebrated the end of a successful first semester. We hope everyone is having a safe and happy winter break and we look forward to seeing you all back on campuses on Monday, Jan. 9, 2023!

so a late November we had our first El Cap and gays which is our local control accountability plan meeting to engage are our partners to find out what you see are some things that we can work on what's going well with not going well we're going to continue that process will be sending out a survey to parents staff community members to again gather additional information to develop a plan for next year so in December we've had winter showcases that have really just exuded what we're about as star athletic competition and finishing out strong with AR testing for the semester and are Banning common assessment and this has happened throughout our entire District which is great to see so as we wrap up the first semester all the way from Mott free pre-k are transitional kindergarten all the way through our CT programs are high school programs and our adult program and the work that they have done in their dedication in their hard work we really I want to thank you for what you do want to thank you for being here and being a part of this community making it really strong I would like to thank our Board of Trustees which provides our mission and vision in our work is thanks for the fat, enter for Wishing by following our board's priorities in our board goals I would like to thank our leadership team for all their hard work all of our staff because you were the ones that show up every day and make things happen and so as we move into the end of the school year just want to look forward to how we strongly finished and it's been great moments that are only going to get better so I'm looking forward to how finish the year with your support I wish our students our family our community our staff a great winter break I hope you have an opportunity to rest rejuvenate and get ready for 2023
