Mayra Anguiano, Board President

As a student at Banning High School, Mayra Anguiano graduated third in her class. Now, she serves on the Banning Unified Board of Trustees, a seat she has held since 2019.

After high school, Anguiano earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of California, San Diego. She also holds a master’s degree as a child life specialist from Loma Linda University. She is an infant services coordinator at the Inland Regional Center in San Bernardino, assisting families with young children who are at risk of developmental delays.

As a trustee, Anguiano looks to gain a greater understanding of school finance and school board governance. She plans to visit classrooms to see firsthand what students are learning.
