presenting the 2122 Financial audit report so we can go to the second page that we go so what is an audit plan on it serves a purpose obviously Education Code requires it every year stop the school district have an annual audit so that's under a code for 1020 and so the audits required to be independent so that's what we provide there and really what the purpose of the general goal of an audit is to get enough sufficient appropriate audit evidence so that we can render an opinion on on the school district's financial statement so that's done through a variety of way but that the opinion and range it can you can say yes or free of material misstatement and then that would be an unmodified opinion and then there can be something called a qualified opinion Duck and Cover sections of your audit where we my qualifier are opinion on that section and then render the remainder of the audit to where we didn't notice any mature statement so that's that's the opinion that we that we gave your District not mean that's in the very beginning of the outer or you'll see there's an opinion paragraph and it's known as a qualified opinion that is on page number 7A PDF and page one of your reports see right there and talks about a qualified opinion and the area where there was the qualified opinion was on the capital asset there's also a Associated finding with that area of the report that you'll note towards the back that will touch on it later but I just kind of wanted to describe what what the different types of opinions were and so basically worst thing except for Apple assets we feel that your financial statements represent fairly in all material respects the respective financial position of all of your fun and of the government-wide statements marijuana throughout the audit and site testing and that takes place in the spring and then we have a second phase which covers like your year-end balance so when you pass your unaudited actuals in September of 2022 those are misstatement and what we use our basis that we use generally accepted accounting principles are Gap to make sure that the district is reporting in accordance with job and we also use the K through 12 also look at the federal compliance measures and that is governed by the Office of Management and budget so that is again an annual process that put compliance statement so you can see that it's not just the financial statements but it's also Federal Awards stay towards those things all those dollars that come to the district and every School District in California for the most part strings attached and so we are there to ensure that those dollars are spent responsibly and of course in accordance with the grandson of the other purposes that the district received those funds for go ahead and move on to the next line on this is a general outline of the report and how it looks so I'm not going to read each how do you spell basically what you can see there is a new report has different sections and if you were to pick out a few because you know the report is quite like they obviously we encourage you to read the in but if we were to say you know what are the most important parts of the report while obviously the the auditor's report Pages went through three give the opinion but the mdna I would save pages for 3 11 and then also the train schedule which is in the supplementary in information schedule 61 to 67 and then of course everybody likes to see the the back of the report if you will which has Vinings a question, Spence important to realize that there are many many compliance areas those are contained in the in Pages 60 through 73 you can see all of the different state compliance all of the different Federal programs that were tested and so it's important to see and so you can see age of 74 and 75 at the auto report have all of the state areas and then before that you can see the different Federal programs will be tested and those are on yeah and that in that other independent Auditors report there okay that's on page 77 and that shows you that title one was tested and then the education stabilization fund was tested which is like you're answering your gear fun so lots of dollars came in there so we tested those areas okay so if we look schedule finding a question, so we ever three categories shown there we have our financial statements section we have our federal federal Awards as I mentioned and that was due to finding number one which was Capital asset reporting so that fighting stresses the importance of good Capital asset accounting because of really impact your financial statements. another of the findings there you can see they're listed on the right hand side where it says notation so you can see the different areas but that could be improved on and those are spelled out pretty thoroughly I think in the in the findings themselves Federal warrants we did not find any material weaknesses or significant deficiencies that reported so there was no findings or notation so that was a positive I'll come there and then on the state complaints are you there were some areas to work on to that are pointed out there in those various areas as shown on the slide and those are findings that are shown starting number seven and dropping on down to number 10 so that is the finding section of the report and so that will kind of on my Whirlwind review of the audit report we also we would like to thank the services and the district for their cooperation during or not as well so if there's any questions you have.
