hi I'm dr. Natasha Baker and I'm the superintendent for the Banning Unified School District and as we gear up for a safe exciting and fun spring break next week I want make sure that we have a few things on your radar but first let us not forget that the Banning Unified School District is an incredibly diverse Community diversity as our strength and to that end we want to part that our sole Mission as a school district is to collaborate to develop responsible respectful prepare students to achieve their full potential we want to make sure that students who from our school system have the skills necessary to be successful in any Walk of Life whether that's locally nationally or internationally into the number one District white goal is to and now on to our upcoming event beginning Monday April 12th the leadership team and I will be fully engaged in our leadership cultural competence series during that time time we will be focused on the research and data around leading Equitable systems with a culturally competent mindset I'm really excited about that opportunity as we see diversity as our strength also April 20th we will continue with our health and wellness series on grief and anxiety so we look forward to all those who are interested in participating in a dish every Monday Tuesday and Wednesday both our elementary and middle school students have access to additional enrichment courses during the pandemic these are virtual courses provided to our students buy from heart Performing Arts lastly our virtual retirement recession for Banning staff will actually be tentatively Friday May 14th from 4:30 to 6 and don't miss out on our text board study session on facilities will be held Saturday April 10th from 9 to 12 and during that time we're really going to be focusing on how to create world-class facilities by phasing in WhatsApp Horton for reopening in June and in August with that said I hope that you all have a great weekend I'd love to leave you with one of the greatest athlete of all time Michael Jordan who once said never Say Never because limits like fears are Just an Illusion I've always believed that if you put in the work the results will come some people want it to happen some wish it would happen but others like those of us in Banning we make happen have an awesome spring break everyone
