And we had spoken earlier about this really hearing having the board hear what these groups of people are staying when they're sick what they're saying and obviously the superintendent is the one that said it goes out and and make sure that that that's happening but given what you had said about the disconnect sister Davis I would I absolutely agree if it's just coming from here and no one else has had any input then you know he has no parents jeans that are having you know that our being able to do this and I just said I'm going to be bringing people in leadership bringing those people answer their days because often times when we have leadership groups like from the school that can come in and say either we don't have all the leadership groups these are the issues that we're having issues that we're having you know we are not going to go out and make sure that those jobs are finished, so we can check those off and see okay so this group is two years to group in this leadership group has been having issues therefore we can make more valid. based on input from other stakeholders I don't know how long for us to see a well-balanced are you having people stay well it just came down from the top and I mean it I would think that a lot of messages we're getting these groups of people together with the board and so that we don't get to help you if you help to the leadership and obviously you are the head of the other District but superintendent and transparent and they say we leadership groups together in a very powerful and saved a really lend themselves to change that everyone can benefit students and parents are you saying to have those people report to 10 and I can report to us I'm just saying that if we Park Avenue where we do have in the schools in technology. and in their classic correctly that we look at it and so it's important to know if right now are Mets score tonight is important to know look at curriculum and safe wasn't working for you to leadership team leadership and they see that it's something isn't working then as a as a government scheme for all the teaching and I'm not sure that way it is really all of us working for the pump that is if you want to hear from you know we would have to do it and it we can't keep the Educators past their Prime we can get something soon where is Colin Farrell I like the loan now and so what I'm hearing is the porch they need more help in our what's not working with it I don't know what OK Google Avenues currently has been so we have the El Cap group those are just some ways that open up have that level of information that despite level the principles are hearing that from staff in the school cycling now in a function that information should follow up to say you're the concern in that comes to The District administration, or you will please contact please provide information and I don't know but I never do contact right. Community members about whatever the issue. looking at Water some Avenue in that door it can be like Pandora's Box because yes we want we want to make sure things are working in the things were implementing are effective and less able to use them but you're also opening yourself and the board up for a lot of stuff that really sent us such as minor individual issues that one parent feels that that needs to be addressed when it was a individual incident that but that doesn't it should say I apologize for being you you all and I know that there are and I would just like to explore Avenues together or is it just that I'm eating. this is a conversation that I had with one of our board members about this specific thing that came up from our association about behavior in this perception that you can get away with me or no one doesn't is so this was last year that we work with the moon about a couple situation that came up to share one if it's to be hearings happening and there are no consequences and that's a teacher hot-button events are not all the questions then I'm going to do whatever I want to do one was ensuring that the teachers at information when they violate that way if this dude is caseload I can see what's going on that way I'm aware so that was one thing you put that into the tire notification letting the other thing was student behavior is a light personnel so I do something and I'm having consequences and you want to know what it is you're not entitled to know what it is the parent in that student no but I hit it. sometimes people they know nothing happens when there is our job is to make sure we're holding our staff accountable for ensuring that their dressings that's when it goes back to when we have a a student in Ocala since we're talking about all of those things that I'm not sure in the past and that is always come to the fourth and now they are coming to the fore. however it has been strong in the struggle has been to say wait a second are you addressing these behaviors one and two if you are we need to know about it if we're working so that's something we'll go we have a parent handbook do we have the teachers so that they can you do because I know that a very strong parent handbook that sets the guidelines very stringently and everyone knows what the consequences are I don't even know if we have uniforms here we have uniforms but I would love to see the parent handbook to see if everything is implemented so that teachers can look parents can look and and student and look exactly what the consequences are for these type of things to get rid of the beginning of the year they have the students going to be here your contract as well as his birthday but I know the so what I can buy District doesn't have a parent the board has a copy B and bucatini policy absolutely but inside paste that put that into the handbook and then work with the district policies to get that coming from the district the superintendent said he goes yeah said he goes ganders is pretty powerful like you said your executive person so this is very very positive and I wasn't thinking I know how we got the enrollment numbers for each site but I think having those details items available cuz I appreciated that email I haven't gone through it one hundred percent but that was great knowing I have that you're so like helping look for each site as well and then I mean you know we're all super super busy but I'm sure we can figure something out to see if that's the beauty of it where is everyone season 1 of the difference between those who request it shouldn't be no I'm just responding to that one remember all that talk about this in your throat when I'm sending out information is going to board members that way like when there's a question call the board of questions come in and I know we work on those about to go to everyone that way everyone is getting the same time so we will work on that thank you for being so old but I really appreciate you are I really appreciate that because I know that none of us knew here but we're all new to pull together to make this school district they are experiencing this is what's happening how do we poop and throw up our ability to listen to the store Administration Alicia of holding policies in that hamburger and it made it through some policies in there that are maybe some that need to be clarified I don't I don't know because I haven't seen it but thank you for that talks about the boers in a general sense and in the next phase on 6 talks about the differentiation and roll between the board trustees and the superintendent music note on page 57 oh I haven't done is no more problem with that little last year and changing our terminology wherever he's at every every District different but 13 minutes. but I didn't realize that we were going to I like that well. What will work what are your ideas we had great ideas that's how we started the honors program that's how we started this team again that's always starting more technology what is because we listen all of the people that were in the trenches in it and it really paid off and it's been a new course so with all of us soliciting and I need to know what's happening it really makes the difference it makes people feel. Davis with liquor board with parents with students and teachers and the program and really have that accountability so that when we do bring on whatever it is we're going to bring on RIT isn't my switch I still I'm going to say I think needs a lot of work right now and I think that we need to read this in and I would love to see that you know in personality what's happening there I know that that is the wave of the future not having somebody else do it for us having our it build in the capability you know you a person to fish they can fish for a lifetime if you give them a fish we if we get our kids in our community that they will never do for himself believes it has to start on the ground floor and it is proven over cell phone and I would really love to have the opportunity to delve into this a little bit more because the where do we want to spend the night that's all I'm saying I would like to hear why those students are actually meeting because it's probably not because the schools are good and good things are not be Carlos because they're growing up and they ate but they're choosing to leave that area but what I'm saying is that that person is not retaining that's not fair to say though because you can't control Wyatt family leave there nothing else but we're talkin about two schools closing we're talking about the deal out a lot of students that are in the bank and they're closing schools as well so that was my next question was where funding for that position coming from would it be coming from would be coming from title one and then the future does that need to go in the system absolutely no places like this because it's relatively warm and innuendo stronger program keeping in line with what we were talking about as far as Global having our students they can't make us look at that position cuz he works in raining those kids and we could build something is capturing movies really about Southwest flooring places in the position and development are they call Ambassador do they go to the time but then create The Voice on so you're talking about Nick this program one of the issues band has passed and they know it doesn't matter how much more money we offer them they don't want to work forgetting because of the negative perception so we have to change that voice and I personally see value in San Jacinto California we took one of our own people but they do a lot I know like Aren't Alright they aren't handling websites and they like that they're handling fixing the broken Chromebooks are handling clever going down there handling Panorama not working properly and they're handling the systems that aren't working there I'm creating what the parents are seeing or the public is see I agree with both prospective students work on the website because we have classes at the high school that can all contribute to working on it and meet personally if I had a student in one of those classes that was contributing to the website I'm a proud mama because my kids get down you know you're also not answering because of the deaths with using using in a mentoring class wear these students are actually pathetic and we had that the students were going to get another classes and that student teaching students according to buy gas key is so powerful and that he had that type of type of interaction where the children can see a role model than two years ahead or 3 years ahead is so powerful just like we saw you know whether taking students and teaching City students how to be on a debate team or how to do this or how to do that I truly believe in the power of one title and incoming these kids going out once you train them we had all of these kids wanted to be little mini Cadets they really did and it and it's a very powerful program I just would like to see instead of going through them I'd like to see more building the bottom up so that you have to have the people were capable of teaching them and guiding them and doing well we we had we had a large game and nobody wanted to go to Pico Rivera and we had we had a lot of people that were afraid and then we had very low scores and we had no idea and we all went in and I can show you online and I will show you these beautiful pictures of these children doing amazing things things that are things that are happening I keep saying like talking with media talking to the the newspaper are making sure that we're getting out there and like the things are going in the news aren't just all of the bad things that are happening in the positive lights yeah I was a teacher Pico Rivera and we had a lot of games I was in third grade and I started the kids though and contacted the the all of the leaders of the Pico Rivera and and we have been media there and we had and you shouldn't have to do that in the future I want to get my opinion on this position because now we have nothing and I really did it then there were things that could have been done a lot better given them out on the theory embedded in the Westside go out to stab they were sent out because it couldn't go out and parents were so that they should know how to do that and they've been greatly responsible if there's an overall picture but in the thing that we miss the most that we haven't talked about in the communication to our parents communication to our I'm not talking about them as a district being looking good being clear being on point in Moline now that's something that can be done absolutely yes but to the level of expertise they Zapata that embodies the whole district is what we need strengthen who we are who we already are so this is just a lot of things have changed this position starting position in the last 5 years or so and we are ahead of the curve and enhances sure that we're keeping our a little push and maybe this it but I'm totally hear you and I would love for us to feel from within by also feel like we need help in order to get that started we can we can we agree that our it department needs to be major overhaul in order to empower our students to be successful in their 21st century other things part of the park it should be part of the IT team or something all the concern and built around in position I mean if you really want bag or like what kind of is it because what if we try it for a year and then we're like no this is not the way we need to go we need to try something else all right we start again but I really believe inside I'm a big advocate for communicating with our parents I mean our parents are really unfortunate we don't know what's going on and what is my kids save on not knowing all the sides because as a parent you only get parent squares your child bit and so to me I feel that we needed even if it's just the spark it and see if it work we spent money on other things that haven't been successful but we came and now we know okay and so I guess we would we have done that we have spent the money on certain things if we had gone out then research ahead of time but I think we do think that you were my my question is if we had done the research or Denver hardtalk ahead of time would we have had to spend that might make him sick and sometimes yes because sometimes they are so is something new coming up within a district like where we are technology-wise and website and everything else right now is not where we were 10 years ago so this is Insurance didn't exist and years ago so it's something that grows and develops I see this person is someone involving themselves in our community and really getting to know our staff or parents are kids and highlighting all the way not trying to hide anything is going wrong but in turn helping us to build like my boy did like you know the grow within like bro you're only that prize that sense of community and belonging so that you how to wear your promise not just because I'm hung up with my boss because we're doing this this and that and I don't know I'm listening do what you guys are saying is Well I'm just saying and that's why I asked where is the funding coming from if I can bathe it when we got me I don't think any of us knew what their purpose entirely was or what I do with our presentation at the 80s we thought the numbers from the center School District other ones that are doing that are are much more powerful I wasn't that impressed with that one but that aside I mean I don't know I haven't done enough research to find out if somebody actually have any well. You know that is doing that and that's why it's more impressive but so you know I mean I'm just saying I'm not a great example of something that we don't have in that one as a parent I don't like to be in the bar because now we don't have the EMA we don't have anything other than what our sites are able to produce their parents play creating like instructional videos because they can great things for kids like not writing for Columbus they can produce videos that teachers would do modeling how to do something so you have a teacher in like oh my God this teacher is really great at doing this if we could videotape this teacher doing that stuff that's something that happens in when you do within but if I hear what you're saying and we don't have anything right now he's so I mean I don't know if it would be a permanent decision or if it would be I want to hear that's the one you can see if it works I mean security about person but if they work extra hard and we're just like this isn't Dean by the board at some point that it wasn't effective then we would bring that to the boy let me just say this that's the process never happened but we would never do that to a I want to say okay your job is going tomorrow if that's understood there will be a conversation in a transition that way that person that they could stay in when the BMA contract Campbell I knew what it was but I didn't know presentation because you do it to find out you know what teachers think about this what you know how they feel about this because I I see some of the issues that honestly would like a communication as being 10-15 years old I hate it and that's the reason you don't have that buddy in communication and we had into communication all the time so I'm I would like to still see it being more more proactive and more futuristic you know I think that's a huge issue here with communication to parents I'm not saying not this one but I'm just saying we do need to present the best I can help Shelly I think with Obsession that is needed for our town for our district especially because every time record-gazette writes a piece of us it's not in the greatest like if they're going to talk about Beaumont all beautiful and shiny sparkly glittery but when it comes to us for some reason they just don't like us I feel like if it were someone from our town like Shelly said we're very like rah-rah for a town but I also feel like it's a position that needs Gil and they're certainly requirements for it but I really do feel that we needed as a district not only to retain some of our students that we have been but also to possibly attract more students to our community maybe if because always think of it if record Gazeta is writing something it's going online so they accessible to everyone not only to our parents not only to our community but to other people who are looking to move into our area and are looking to see what our district is like how our schools sign what are four cheese are in for the most part 1 is that right something on us it's not great so I wouldn't say that people are getting attractive due to the word of mouth first day or even newspaper honestly I really do think that we need Azusa even if it wasn't something big we're not a huge districts or something to get us started and just get us going like Myra said it doesn't have to be like a long-term thing something to get it's parked and going even with the idea of getting our students involved in it maybe get a journalism program going and getting our kids into it and participating in you know putting our district out there are sports demyx and that way our kids can also get some pride for school because we we do like a lot of Pride with our students and we all know that bethel's honestly all you have to do is look on that school that's what I'm saying it doesn't matter and I'm not saying we don't need this I'm agreeing with you guys but what I'm saying is that when you're talking with you about about online honestly people that leaving here or going to look at that stuff they're going to look at me she going to look at you at the World Report because if you're going to look at a
