What is Measure O?
Measure O is Banning USD’s local school improvement bond. Approved by voters, it provides funding to make essential upgrades across our schools. These improvements focus on ensuring safe, modern, and effective learning environments for every student.
Measure O dollars are dedicated to:
-
Renovating and repairing existing classrooms and school facilities.
-
Upgrading campus security and emergency communications systems.
-
Updating classroom technology, wireless networks, and infrastructure.
Funds cannot be used for administrator salaries or pensions. All spending is subject to independent audits and oversight.
Why it matters?
Banning USD is dedicated to preparing, inspiring, and educating nearly 4,300 students. Measure O helps ensure our classrooms, labs, arts and athletic spaces, and support areas are safe, efficient, and aligned to today’s learning needs.
Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee
To ensure transparency and accountability, Banning USD established an Independent Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee (CBOC). This committee reviews bond expenditures, monitors project progress, and issues annual reports to the community.
