Our District

Welcome to Banning Unified School District—where we prepare, inspire, and educate every student, every day.

Located in the heart of the San Gorgonio Pass, Banning Unified School District proudly serves nearly 4,300 students across transitional kindergarten through adult education. With a deep commitment to equity, academic excellence, and community partnership, we are shaping a future where every learner is empowered to reach their full potential.

We are a diverse and tight-knit community of educators, families, and students working together to provide high-quality, inclusive education. Our schools offer a wide range of opportunities, from Dual Immersion and early learning to CTE pathways, the arts, athletics, and student enrichment events like the Spelling Bee, Science Fair, and History Day.

Banning USD is also home to:

  • Florida Street Discovery Center, our hub for early education

  • Banning High School, where tradition meets opportunity

  • Nicolet Middle School, fostering strong academic foundations

  • Coombs Alternative Learning Center, providing flexible pathways for student success

  • Four elementary schools: Central, Cabazon, Hemmerling, and Hoffer, each committed to nurturing curiosity, confidence, and character.

Guided by our vision to prepare, inspire, and educate, and our mission to collaborate as a diverse community to develop responsible, respectful, and prepared students, Banning Unified School District is focused on student success in and beyond the classroom.
