Meet Adriana Lopez, Bilingual Aide at Cabazon Elementary School. Here is a little more from Adriana, "I am a first generation Mexican American. My parents immigrated to the United States from Mexico. One of my favorite pastimes is spending time with my pets, and just relaxing at home, whether reading books or playing video games. My absolute favorite series is Harry Potter! Why Do I Love Working at Banning USD?: I am a Banning Unified Alumni, graduated in 2013, so working here makes me happy to be able to give back to the community for which I grew up in! Especially working with students who recently came into our country to better their future, just as my parents have done when they came into this country." Adriana was submitted by a Cabazon staff member, here is what they said about her, "I am nominating Adriana because she has served at Nicolet, Banning High, and now at Cabazon for 9 years as a para educator and now bilingual aide. She is helping to establish her place at Cabazon by offering tutoring, translating, and helping our EL and intervention students achieve their academic goals." #BanningUSD

This week's Student Athlete of the Week at Banning High School is Jose Medina. Coach Aja had this to say about him, "Jose is the leader of the defense. He plays strong, tough defense. He is always first to win a 50/50 ball on the ground or in the air. He has great slide tackling skills. The defense now has six shutouts for the season." #BanningUSD

Good morning Banning USD Elementary School Families, We hope this message finds you well. We would like to bring to your attention an important update regarding the 2023/24 school year calendar. Please take a moment to review the attached revised calendar. It is important to note a significant change: Tuesday, December 19th: This date will not be a Minimum Day for Elementary School students. Please ensure that your Elementary School children are present for the full day of classes. For Middle School and High School students, the schedule will remain unchanged, and December 19th will still be observed as a Minimum Day. We understand that adjustments to the school calendar may affect your planning, and we appreciate your understanding. Your attention to this revision ensures that all students continue to receive the valuable instructional time they deserve. Thank you for your ongoing support and cooperation. Should you have any questions or need further clarification, please feel free to contact the school office.

Good morning Banning USD Community, We are still experiencing an outage of our wi-fi districtwide. At this time, we do not have an estimate on when this will be fully operational again, however, our team has been working diligently through the weekend with our network provider to get operational as quickly as possible. We would like to assure you that our instructional team is being supported by the leadership team who is providing additional resources to minimize the impact to instruction in our classrooms.
