Mr. Victor Herrera spent 8 years of his public servitude career as a Categorical Program Assistant, Accounting Technician, and most recently the Business Manager of a school district in Los Angeles.  Prior to serving in the business services department, Mr. Herrera spent 5 years in the classroom as a Science Department Teacher Assistant. 

Mr. Herrera earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Finance from California State University, Northridge (CSUN) and successfully completed the Fiscal Crisis and Management Assistance Team (FCMAT) Chief Business Official (CBO) Mentor Program in May 2021.  Mr. Herrera met the rigorous requirements and acquired a CBO Certification from the California Association of School Business Officials (CASBO) organization.  He has also received a Certificate of Achievement in Accounting and Property Management from Los Angeles Valley College in May 2020.

His journey within the Banning Unified School District first started as the Director of Fiscal Services and then served as the Interim Chief Business Officer.  Today, Mr. Herrera serves as the District's Assistant Superintendent, Business Services leading the Child Nutrition, Facilities, Fiscal, Maintenance, Operations, and Transportation Services Departments.
