Each year, the Citrus Belt Area Athletic Directors Association (CBAADA) hosts a Senior Athlete of the Year celebration, recognizing outstanding student-athletes from its 90 member schools across the region. Each school selects one male and one female honoree to represent their campus—students who demonstrate excellence in athletics, leadership, and character.
This year, Banning High School proudly recognizes Marquis Stewart-Vaughn and Symora Prince as its 2025 Senior Athletes of the Year.
Symora Prince has made her mark as a powerful multi-sport athlete. She currently holds the school record in discus, is a two-time CIF Prelims qualifier in the event, and earned First Team All-League honors in flag football. She also played an instrumental role in helping the girls’ basketball team capture a league championship this year.
Marquis Stewart-Vaughn is a three-sport standout, competing in baseball, football, and soccer. He was a key player on Banning’s league championship football team and was named Defensive Back of the Year in 2024. In baseball, he helped secure three consecutive league titles and was named Defensive MVP of the league as a junior in 2023. His athletic range, competitive spirit, and leadership have made him a cornerstone of the Broncos’ sports program.
Banning High School commends both student-athletes for their hard work, sportsmanship, and contributions to school pride and success.
