8th Grade Promotion Details

  • Date: Friday, May 30, 2025

  • Time: Ceremony begins at 11:00 AM (Stadium doors open at 10:30 AM)

  • Location: Nicolet Middle School Football Field (101 E. Nicolet St. Banning, CA 92220)

Families and friends who are unable to attend in person are invited to view the Nicolet Middle School Promotion Ceremony via livestream. The event will be broadcast on the Banning Unified School District’s official YouTube channel.

Promotion Entry Rules

  • Ticket Required for Entry: All attendees must present a valid ticket at the entrance.

  • Security Screening: For the safety of all guests, security personnel will conduct bag checks and screenings. Entry is conditional upon compliance with these procedures.

  • No Re-Entry: Once admitted, guests who leave the venue will not be permitted to re-enter.

  • Prohibited Items: To ensure a disruption-free celebration, the following are strictly prohibited:

    • Weapons or any item that may be used as a weapon

    • Drugs, alcohol, tobacco, and vaping products (including e-cigarettes)

    • Balloons, noisemakers, air horns, confetti, poppers, silly string, and any celebratory materials that may disrupt the event or create safety hazards

  • Behavior Expectations: All guests are expected to conduct themselves respectfully. Disruptive or unsafe behavior may result in removal from the event.

To ensure a smooth and safe experience for all attendees, please review the map below for designated parking areas, entrance location, and street closures.

  • A valid ticket is required for entry.

  • Guests must enter through the designated Ceremony Entrance (⭐).

  • Accessible parking (♿) is available near the venue for vehicles displaying a valid handicap placard.

  • Please note that a section of N. San Gorgonio Ave will be closed (🚫) for the duration of the event to accommodate safe guest access.

  • Early arrival is encouraged to allow time for security screening and parking.

Promotion Dress Code

Students are expected to wear appropriate, semi-formal attire that reflects the importance of this milestone. Please review the guidelines below.

Gentlemen:

  • Button-down, collared shirt or polo (short or long sleeves) – must be tucked in

  • Dress slacks or dark-colored jeans

  • Dress belt

  • Dress shoes or clean sneakers

  • Tie is optional

Ladies:

  • Dresses, skirts, dress slacks, or dark-colored jeans

  • Dressy tops with at least a 2-inch shoulder strap (smaller straps require a cover-up)

  • Dresses and skirts must be no more than 2 inches above the knee

  • Dress shoes, clean sneakers, flats, or 1 to 1.5-inch heels

Not Acceptable Attire:

  • T-shirts, untucked shirts, strapless, low-cut, transparent, skin-tight, or midriff-exposing tops

  • Light-colored jeans, ripped jeans, sagging pants, skirts or dresses more than 2 inches above the knee, tight clothing

  • Hats, heels higher than 1.5 inches, flip-flops, slides, or slippers
